Polish society isn't magically going to move in a different direction than every other country on the planet, progressive politics are coming. If Polish Catholics don't respect the irreligious, they are going to create a conflict they have no chance of winning. If Catholicism wants to stay a part of Poland (a possibility I welcome, given free choice) it's going to have to reform, repent, and honestly renegotiate its place in Polish society. I have yet to see it, but as a non-religious Polish-Canadian, it hurts to know how wrong most Poles are about this issue, and I'm happy they're finally opening their eyes to this.
